The Video Production team here at Colorado Sound Studios has been busy lately with some pretty exciting shoots! From virtual reality to green screen compositing, our team has had our hands on some cool projects. We have also been super excited to bring Laura Simone onto the team, adding tons of creativity, laughter, and hard work to our projects.
At the beginning of August, Justin and Laura worked together on a photoshoot outside of Studio W for singer/producer Feroxx. With a mixture of props, smoke bombs, and creative lighting, the team came up with tons of creative and epic photos right in the parking lot!
Following that, we set up our full size green screen wall and floor to prepare for The Brighton Project’s latest music video. It is so cool to see our Studio W transform to accommodate such a variety of projects.
The shoot was to take place on an island beach, so we had to place sand on the floor, transforming our studio to a tropical paradise and allowing the talent to interact with the environment that they will be composited into. Â We had Justin and myself shooting video with Laura on audio playback. Laura did phenomenal and even helped our talent with some dance moves!Â
To wrap up the month of August, Justin and I made our way to the Soundscape VR mansion in Evergreen to film their SVR Live demonstration, featuring a DJ set and live interactive VR landscape performed by founder Eric Alexander.
The property and view at the mansion was breathtaking. As night rolled around, the DJ set began and the lasers engaged! It was very cool to see what the team at Soundscape VR put together while being surrounded by the nature and scenery of Evergreen.
The VR experience takes the user to a virtual stage where your avatar can fly around and interact with the environment and other users, while the DJ can interact with the users and environment through audio reactivity. Earlier this year we shot a DJ set to be implemented into their virtual landscape with Desert Dwellers. It was an awesome experience seeing how their team took our video content and incorporated it into a VR world.
So excited to be working on such a variety of cool projects, and looking forward to what will come next!
