Studio W is the base of operations for the Colorado Sound Media Labs, combining the best parts of both Studio A and Studio B. This allows our students the opportunity to learn and practice in a low-risk environment before transferring their new skills into the other rooms. This studio has a massive live room for tracking, rehearsals, shooting video and more. The room is also set up to mimic a live-band scenario, so when you complete our program you’ll be ready to engineer all of the local venues. The W houses our beautiful Custom DW Drum Kit, multiple guitar amps and pianos so we can teach you proper mic’ing techniques and get you ready to record a band. It’s also equipped with a Behringer X-32, Pro Tools and many of the same plugins from Studio A and B so you can learn to mix in the box.

Studio W is also home to our remote recording truck, which we use to record some of the world’s biggest acts at Red Rocks, Fiddler’s Green and beyond. The truck is loaded with a Studer Vista 5 M2 console, Pro Tools HD, and a range of outboard gear that is all mobile and ready to roll.
